An impressive large format jug from the Luc Vallauris factory – signed on the bottom with the embossed inscription "LUC / VALLAURIS / 355". A tall, cylindrical form with a spout and a flat handle – equally effective as a decorative vase.

The entire surface is covered with an intense black and white lava glaze with a characteristic, bubbly texture. Against the lava glaze, distinct, geometric abstract accents in intense colors: a large red form, yellow and green rectangles, and a green circle – arranged asymmetrically around the entire body. The contrast between the black texture and the bright colors is absolutely striking.
